Check out the only cemetery in Orlando!

Greenwood Cemetery was founded in the 1880s to ensure a permanent burial location after years of lost graves and confusion. Who: Owned and operated still today by the City of Orlando

What:  19th century cemetery featuring some important historical figures and the only historic or contemporary graves in Orlando.

When: Open 7am to 7pm daily

Why:
  •  Features 2 in situ wooden markers!
  • Monthly moonlight walking tours during the full moon
  • Spanish-American War memorial
  • Final resting place of many important Orlando figures including T.G. Lee, founder of the large dairy company; Harry P. Leu, the gentleman the landmark gardens was named after;  Joseph Bumby, owner of Bumby Hardware store; Frances Eppes, grandson of Thomas Jefferson and founder of FSU; and Past Mayors Bob Carr, Carl Langford and Braxton Beacham.
