Cemetery a Day in May: St. Ambrose

Cemetery Log Date: May 23, 2013

I'm on a boat for the next few days, so we're doing things a little differently for #cadim.  I'll still get the posts up, but will have to go back in and edit in the details.

St. Ambrose Catholic Churchyard

This churchyard was established in 1875 at the same time the first church was built for St. Ambrose Parish.  The church grew from the spiritual needs of Menorcan farming families who began settling the interior of the county around the turn of the 19th century.  The names of these families’ are throughout the cemetery.
